PCO - Calendar.png

Primary Task(s):

  • Create calendar events for all upcoming churchwide activities 
    • NOTE: Event’s settings should include:
      • Summary / Description
      • Registration URL: signup form (if applicable)
      • Event Image: graphic (if one exists)

ARTICLE: Manage event details - Explains all the tabs/settings you find when editing an event. Please note that we do not use all features of the Calendar module, particularly those related to room/resource management.  NOTE: This article essentially summarizes the two videos below.

VIDEO: Creating an event - This video does contain some irrelevant information (kiosks, rooms & resources) as well as some information about things we don’t currently utilize (event tags), but is otherwise useful as an intro to creating events.

VIDEO: Event Activity, Files, and Settings - Primarily, this is useful for an explanation of the event settings, with Activity and Files maybe being less important at this time

Primary Task(s):

  • Weekly input of attendance via Headcounts on web
    • Student attendance will eventually be tracked automatically via Check-Ins
    • Attendance could also be entered via Headcounts app during Sunday service

PCO - Groups.png

Primary Task(s):

  • Creating/managing groups for Connect Groups, Serve Teams, etc.
  • Generating reports about group attendance, membership, etc. (?)

VIDEO: Create a New Group - Explains the process of creating a new group and the tabs/settings within a group.

VIDEO: Tools for Administrators (Requests, Reports, Calendar, Resources) - Covers multiple admin tasks that can be performed on the web for groups.

PCO - People.png

Primary Task(s):

  • Database management (ARTICLES)
  • Creating/managing forms (ARTICLE / VIDEO)
    • Signups happen primarily through these forms (although Planning Center is geared towards their own Registrations module, using a form in People is a free alternative)
  • Creating/managing lists (ARTICLE / VIDEO)
    • Useful for sending e-mails to groups that meet specific criteria
  • Creating/managing workflows (ARTICLES / VIDEO)
    • Workflows will be utilized more in the future, as we manage things such as the SHAPE Assessment
    • While you can manually add someone to a workflow, there are also ways to have a Form accomplish this automatically
