At Fellowship Bible Church we believe in baptism by immersion. Though baptism in no way adds to the salvation process, there are three key purposes for which one should be baptized.
     - Obedience: Jesus taught that believers were to be baptized. (Matthew 28:19-20)

     - Symbolic: Baptism is symbolic of the inward change experienced when an individual accepts Jesus Christ. Going under the water (dying to our desire and self-gratification), while under the water (buried - dead to sin), coming out of the water (raised to new life in Christ). (Colossians 2:12-13)

     - Evidence: Baptism is a way of witnessing to those observing that you have placed your faith in Jesus Christ. (Acts 8:35-39)
If you have never taken part in believer’s baptism and would like to, or you want to learn more about it, please reach out to one of our elders and they would be happy to discuss it with you. Our next Baptism Sunday is scheduled for February 22nd.
